A popular spot for outdoor activities, Mount Diablo State Park is home to a variety of outdoor recreational activities, unique geological landmarks, rare plant and animal species, and 20,000 acres of explorable terrain. Miles of groomed trails that lead to waterfalls and panoramic viewpoints give excellent hiking and biking opportunities.
Downtown Danville also provides an entrance to the Iron Horse Regional Trail, a 27.8-mile paved trail path that spans from Concord to Pleasanton that is popular for hikers, bikers, and dog walking. The Danville Farmers’ Market is held downtown each Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
Danville is home to several yearly events and festivals that residents enjoy. Among the most popular are the Danville 4th of July Parade, the Fall Arts and Crafts Festival, and the Danville Car Show.
